Most signal channels lose.
Here's how to survive the ones you follow.
The uncomfortable truth: the vast majority of signal channels lose money over time. You can't control the calls — but you can control whether a bad one blows your account. This is the short checklist that keeps you alive.

1 — Before you trust a channel
- Judge a track record over months, not a wall of winning screenshots.
- Do they post a stop loss on every call? No SL = no plan.
- How do they behave in a losing streak — disciplined, or doubling down?
- Are the claims realistic, or "guaranteed", "10x", "can't lose" hype?
- Would their calls survive your account size, not just their highlight reel?
2 — Before you take any single signal
- Risk a fixed small % per trade (1% is a sane default) — every time.
- Size to your account and stop distance, never copy the signaler's lot size.
- Never widen a stop to avoid being wrong. Take the loss, keep the account.
- Set a daily loss cap and actually stop when you hit it.
- Take the setups on a rule, not on emotion — cherry-picking is how good systems still lose.
3 — If you're on a funded / prop-firm challenge
- Know your daily and max drawdown limits cold.
- Size so a single bad day can't breach the daily limit.
- Respect news windows and any instrument/weekend rules the firm sets.
- One rule breach ends the account — survival beats a big day, every time.
Red flags a channel will blow your account
- "Guaranteed" wins or no losing trades ever shown.
- No stop losses, or "just hold, it'll come back".
- Huge lot sizes / "all in" calls.
- Revenge-doubling after a loss (martingale).
- Urgency and FOMO — "enter NOW or miss it".
Most of this is easy to know and hard to do under pressure — which is exactly where accounts die.
Stop trading it by hand.
